HitchMate Cargo Stabiload Divider Bar

The product works exactly as described. My bar to which this fits needed a little help before this worked. The diameter of the bar was too small and the screws could not tighten up against it. I used woodworking double face tape and secured a small block of wood in it and then the screws could tighten up against it.

1) you have to get up into the truck bed as you’re loading to adjust it.2) It doesn’t strike me as strong enough to easily withstand a shifting load, but it will clearly keep most things from starting to shift.If I needed another for my next truck, this would be in the running.

does not fit on the * Reese Explore 1390600 40" x 70" Ratcheting Cargo Bar * I added a piece of wood and a rubber seal to hold it in place.. but it's so heavy the weight of it makes it go down but it's because of the cargo bar and not the hitch mate itself, I got mine to stay still with my cargo holding it upright, there are a few other ways to hold it up

This was a gift for my husband and he loves it. Now taking the pickup shopping or to the dump is easy as we don't have to worry about complicated tie-downs and ropes. It stores behind the truck seats and works just as described.Once you know your truck bed's width it's easy to use. That said, my daughter is not strong enough to lock it in place by herself, so I'm not sure if I'll order one for my Dad to use.

easy to use. Provides a strong brace to separate your stuff. I used it to keep 2 heavy suitcases away from two 6 gallon fuel cans --> it held up to the weight. I am ordering another which I will use on the reverse side of my bar.
